KAMIAH — Cheryl Probert and Andrew Skowlund have both returned to their leadership roles on the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest following temporary assignments elsewhere in the Forest Service.
Probert, supervisor of the forest, had been serving as the acting deputy regional forest of the agency’s Northern Region in Missoula. Deputy Forest Supervisor Marty Mitzkus served as supervisor in Probert’s absence and has returned to the deputy position.
Andrew Skowlund has returned to his job as ranger of the forest’s North Fork District. Skowlund served as the acting deputy supervisor of the Idaho Panhandle National Forest on a temporary basis.
According to a Forest Service news release, acting and temporary positions allow the agency to keep critical roles in the organization filled while providing job experience to the individuals in the acting roles.
