Police said Poe was reportedly pulled over for a traffic stop on suspicion of driving with a suspended license about 9:47 p.m. near 10th and Maple streets in Clarkston. He allegedly jumped out of his vehicle and took off running, according to Clarkston police.

Nez Perce County sheriff's deputy Chris Brown heard the call and offered to help search for Poe with Queene, the department's K-9 tracking dog. After the dog located the man, Poe was arrested on initial charges of driving while license suspended, reckless driving and obstructing a law enforcement officer, police said.
