Pierce-Weippe set for power outage

Avista and Clearwater Power customers in Pierce, Weippe and the surrounding area will experience a power outage from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The power outage will affect about 715 Avista and 725 Clearwater Power customers while the companies perform maintenance and install equipment to increase reliability. No road closures are expected during the outage time, Avista announced in a news release.

Customers who will be affected by the outage will be notified directly.
