An Orofino man died Friday in a plane crash in western Alaska on his way to guide a fishing expedition.
Both Shane Reynolds, owner of Northwest Fishing Expeditions, and Jim Tweto, the pilot of the airplane, were killed, according to a social media post. Reynolds was a guide for big game and fishing trips in Alaska and across the Pacific Northwest. He was originally from Nampa, Idaho, and has lived in Orofino since 2014. He was married to Gina Reynolds and the couple has a daughter, Juliet.
A GoFundMe fundraiser has been established to help his family. Anyone wishing more information may visit: gf.me/v/c/64dk/memorial-fund-for-the-family-of-shane-reynolds.
