One of two suspects charged in the gunpoint robbery of two people walking on Lewiston's Normal Hill has waived his right to a preliminary hearing.

Levi D. Linton, 17, of Clarkston, is being charged as an adult in 2nd District Court with robbery and attempted robbery, both felonies, for allegedly holding up two people with a .410 pistol grip shotgun in the area of Seventh Avenue and Sixth Street on Aug. 5.

Linton is scheduled to enter a plea to the charges at 9 a.m. Wednesday before 2nd District Judge Jeff M. Brudie. He is represented by public defender Robert Van Idour.

The preliminary hearing for a second man charged in the robbery has been postponed for one week while a new attorney is appointed to the case. Kaleb J. Farmer, 18, is charged with aiding and abetting robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, both felonies, for his alleged role in the incident. Defense attorney Neil Cox has withdrawn from the case because of a conflict and Richard Cuddihy was appointed Wednesday to represent Farmer.

Linton is being held in the Nez Perce County Jail on $50,000 bond. Farmer is being held on $25,000 bond.
