Bryden Canyon Road is coming to another of the many crossroads the project has had to negotiate over its life. This time the decision facing administrators is whether to stretch out construction or finish it as soon as possible. Even now, almost two years after the design process started, the road has not been fully accepted by many of Lewiston's residents.

I.H. Pepper of Portland, Ore., a British and U.S. seaman who sailed the oceans aboard cargo ships until he retired nine months ago, encountered some of the worst weather of his life on the Columbia River last week. He was on a trip to Lewiston - all alone - aboard his 24-foot boat.

ASOTIN - About 235 have registered at Asotin schools for kindergarten through high school for the new term. About 380 are expected to enroll eventually for the 1975-76 term.
