The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a Lewiston man who has thus far successfully eluded law enforcement attempts to find him since he allegedly sped away from a deputy’s traffic stop at 3 a.m. Saturday at 21st and Main streets.

Eric Pollan, 23, allegedly refused to turn off his white, 2012 Honda Fit during a traffic stop for speeding. As a sheriff’s deputy was beginning to talk to Pollan and a passenger, Daisy Albert, 46, of Lewiston, identified as Pollan’s mother, Pollan allegedly drove away from the deputy, traveling eastbound on East Main Street, Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Rod Taylor said.

The deputy lost sight of the vehicle east of Larry’s Food and Deli. The deputy and Lewiston police officers then went to Albert’s last known address, where Albert was arrested for resisting an officer, but officers did not find Pollan at the residence, Taylor said.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Pollan is asked to contact the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office at (208) 799-3131 ext. 1, Taylor said.
