STEPTOE-A 64-year-old man from Vernon, British Columbia, was airlifted after a crash near here.
Guy M. Mousseau was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane with unknown injuries after he crashed his motorcycle on State Route 23 near milepost 5, according to a news release from the Washington State Patrol.
The state patrol responded to the call at 2:56 p.m. Saturday. Mousseau was traveling south when he left the road and drove on the gravel shoulder before he slid across both lanes of travel and into a northbound ditch, the state patrol said.
The cause of the accident is inattention and Mousseau was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash, the state patrol said.
His condition was listed as satisfactory by the medical center.
