It took two encounters a couple of hours apart before Lewiston police arrested Bror Borjesson, 33, for investigation of two counts of malicious injury to property and one of battery. All are misdemeanors.

According to police, Borjesson was arguing with someone over money owed for vehicle repairs about 2:15 a.m. Monday in the Canter's parking lot at 416 Thain Road when he swung a rope that had something attached to the end and it struck a vehicle window, breaking it. Damage was estimated at $300.

He was given a citation for malicious injury to property.

A second dispute over a dog at large allegedly occurred about 4:25 a.m. near 1124 Burrell Ave., between Borjesson and another man. Police said Borjesson reached inside the other person's car, took eyeglasses off the man's face and broke them.

Police responding to the call located him a short distance away, arrested him and took him to the Nez Perce County Jail.
