Lewiston Quiznos will toast no more

The Lewiston Quiznos at 2331 Thain Grade has closed.

A sign was posted in the sandwich shop's window Monday with the following message: "Closed. Thank you for your patronage the past 12 years. We have closed to pursue other endeavors."

Attempts by the Tribune Monday to reach the shop's owners were not successful.

Quiznos will continue to have a presence in the region with its location in Moscow.

The sandwich shop is the second national chain to shut its doors in Lewiston in recent months.

The other was IHOP, which was located at the intersection of Thain Grade and Stewart Avenue. Like Quiznos, IHOP opened when Walmart was still located on Thain Grade in Lewiston.
