Fred Chilson, Lewis-Clark State College’s provost/vice president for academic affairs, is a candidate for the presidency at Black Hills State University in South Dakota, he announced in an LCSC campus-wide email Monday.
Chilson said in the email he is a finalist and will likely have an on-campus interview at the college in Spearfish, S.D., in mid-November.
“Of course, there are still many more steps in the process before I would need to make a decision,” Chilson wrote in the email, “however, I am honored to be considered for such an opportunity.”
Chilson said he was approached by a recruiter three times before he applied for the job.
Chilson has worked at LCSC since 2018.
