...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of east central Idaho, including Lemhi County and

west central Montana, the following counties, Deer Lodge, Granite,

Powell, Ravalli and Silver Bow.

This includes the following Specific Areas...

Butte, Frontage Road from Bearmouth to Drummond, West Valley near

Anaconda, Philipsburg, Eds Gulch in Drummond, Highway 93 8 miles

south of Salmon to Ellis, Highway 93 north of Ellis, Hwy 93 4th of

July Creek to Tower Creek, Salmon River Road between North Fork and

Shoup, New Chicago area just east of Drummond, Salmon River Road

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Storm

drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

- Showers and thunderstorms capable of rainfall rates over

0.50"/ hour may create hazards for debris flows on burn

scars. Urban areas may experience running water or ponding of

water in low lying areas.
