Flood watch issued for Palouse streams

The National Weather Service on Tuesday issued a flood watch for the Palouse River near Potlatch affecting Latah and Whitman counties.

It also warned that Paradise Creek in Moscow is expected to at least rise to bankfull.

Rain and melting snow will result in excessive runoff and the potential for local rivers to rise and cause minor flooding.

More than an inch of rain has fallen over North Idaho and Pullman experienced a new daily rainfall record Monday with 0.57 inches of rain.
