Fire near Peck burns less than 1 acre

PECK — A fire of unknown origin near mile marker 33 on U.S. Highway 12 just west of Peck burned less than 1 acre Tuesday evening.

Firefighters from the Craig Mountain and Ponderosa offices of the Idaho Department of Lands worked to snuff the flames, said Al Allman, assistant fire warden for the department at Craigmont.
