Investigators are still looking into a crash Wednesday in Lewiston that unfurled slowly and involved two police agencies.

Lewiston police reported at 11:30 p.m. that a driver left the scene of an accident on the 1100 block of Idaho Street after striking a power pole. The crash damaged the car's right front wheel and resulted in a cut on the driver's face, police said. As the vehicle, a 2008 Cadillac, hobbled west, a city patrol officer stopped the driver who had a small child in a car seat in the back seat.

Authorities said the driver, Jonna Bobeck, 44, collided with a Lewiston police vehicle while attempting to stop.

"When she stopped at Ninth Street, she actually bumped one of our patrol cars, so we called the Idaho State Police in to conduct the investigation due to our officer being involved," said Lewiston Police Capt. Roger Lanier.

The child, age unknown, was not injured, police said. Bobeck was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center for treatment.
