Democratic candidate for Congress plans ‘Republican Town Hall’

Kaylee Peterson, a Democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, is planning a “Republican Town Hall” on Monday evening at the Lewiston Community Center.

The event is planned for 6-8 p.m. Monday at the community center, 1424 Main St.

According to a news release from Peterson’s campaign, conservatives, independents, apolitical and “otherwise politician-wary community members” are invited to the event to “question the Democrat.”

Peterson is running for Idaho’s 1st Congressional District seat held by Republican Russ Fulcher. Peterson and Fulcher will potentially square off in the 2024 general election.
