A warming station that opened this week at the First Christian Church in Clarkston will open each day this winter when temperatures drop below 40 degrees.
The church at 840 10th St. will have the warming station open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on days when temperatures are below 40 degrees, according to Amanda Cox, one of the organizers of the Elves for the Homeless, a Lewiston-Clarkston Valley-based nonprofit. Updates on when the warming center will be open will be posted to the group’s Facebook page at Elves for the Homeless and its website elves-for-the-homeless-lcv.org.
The warming center will be open every Saturday with no temperature restrictions.
