KAMIAH — Buddie Carroll, a silviculturist for the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests, has been named permanent district ranger for the Palouse District.
Carroll has 30 years of experience in natural resource management in federal, state and private sector settings and has been part of the forest plan revision team for the past four years.
Forest Supervisor Cheryl Probert said Carroll’s background “will help lead us into a future of managing our national forests for resilience in the face of insects and disease, wildfire, and a changing climate.”
In his free time, Carroll enjoys landscapes and recreational opportunities in northern Idaho, along with managing a modest ranch operation and forest stands with his wife, Nancy.
