PULLMAN - The Pullman City Council will hold its first pre-budget workshop Tuesday, to begin the planning for fiscal year 2016.
The city's staff is recommending that two new positions be budgeted next year.
One is an information technology technician position that will focus on the needs of the police and fire departments; the second is a fire prevention specialist position to help with building reviews now that Pullman has taken over responsibility for the permitting and inspection of new construction at Washington State University.
The only action item on Tuesday's agenda is final plat approval for the first phase of Whispering Hills West 2.0, a 35-lot subdivision on 12 acres located on Sunnyside Hill.
The council meeting begins at 7 p.m. in Pullman City Hall, 325 S.E. Paradise St.
