GRANITE FALLS, Wash. - Authorities say a man riding a bicycle in Granite Falls was struck and killed by a motorist.

The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said the woman driving the vehicle called 911 after she struck the man around 4:40 p.m. Tuesday.

The man, believed to be in his 50s, died at a hospital.

The sheriff's office said the driver cooperated with deputies and that alcohol, drugs and speed don't seem to be factors in the crash.

The sheriff's office said the roadway was dark and the man on the bicycle was wearing dark clothing.

The man's name wasn't immediately released.
