Lewis-Clark State College will audition national anthem singers Monday and Tuesday for the NAIA World Series in May in its own version of "American Idol."
The tryouts will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. each day at Harris Field on the LCSC campus. Auditions are free and open to anyone.
No pre-registration is necessary. Anyone interested should attend either night. Those trying out should know the words to the American and/or Canadian national anthems, and must be able to sing live in front of as many as 5,000 people.
The "Idol" judges for the auditions will be Polly Blasko, executive director of the LC Foundation; Bert Sahlberg, director of communications and sports information; Michael Johnson, equipment/event manager; and Jasmine King, an LCSC alumna.
