Replay reviews in the Series are used in the last four games of each tournament. Since implementation in 2018, 20 plays have been reviewed and just four have been overturned. On Wednesday, five plays were reviewed, and one of those was overturned.

Hope International scored 10 runs in its last two innings Wednesday to erase an 11-5 deficit to Georgia Gwinnett, and came away with a 15-11 victory. The 10 runs were the second most scored in a team’s last two innings. In 2003, Bellevue trailed Biola 8-0 in the bottom of the eighth, then scored 11 total runs in the eighth and ninth innings, winning 11-8, thanks to a walk-off grand slam.

Hope International has now won four consecutive elimination games, and is trying to become just the fifth team to lose its opening Series game and come back to win the championship. West Liberty (1964), Bellevue (1995) and Lewis-Clark State (2006) all won five straight to claim crowns. In 1984, the first year of the Series in Lewiston, Lewis-Clark State lost its first game, and then won six consecutive contests to clinch its first of 19 titles.
