PULLMAN -- A 22-year-old Moscow man was airlifted to a Spokane hospital after being stabbed Monday evening at Pullman.
Pullman police officers arrested 38-year-old Cesar Marmolejos, of Pullman, for suspicion of first-degree assault that night, according to a news release Tuesday morning by the department.
The agency said in the news release multiple people had been fighting at the Sunset Mart parking lot on southeast Bishop Boulevard around 5 p.m. Monday. Marmolejos was allegedly armed with a knife.
Officers believe the parties knew each other, and the fight related to a dispute on social media, according to the news release.
The Moscow man, who wasn't named, was taken to Pullman Regional Hospital and later airlifted to Spokane for injuries sustained during the altercation. The department said in the news release he is expected to be released from the hospital today.
Pullman police will continue to investigate the incident.
