Avista appoints Casey to Grangeville district

GRANGEVILLE - A veteran and graduate of Kamiah High School will be Avista's district manager in Grangeville.

Matthew Casey most recently was a construction supervisor for Pacific Gas & Electric in northern California. He graduated in 2001 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps Infantry, deploying to Iraq twice.

After leaving the military, he worked for the Veterans Affairs Office in Chico, Calif., and then earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from California State University, Chico in 2013. His first job following graduation was with the Federal Highway Administration in Alaska and Wyoming as a construction engineer.
