The crowning of royalty for the Orchards Blossom Festival held in Lewiston is shown in this 1979 photo. The second princess is Kathy Charpentier, of Lewiston, who submitted this photo, shown in the white and pink dress at left. The first princess (unknown name) is in the dark blue in center and Queen Brenda (unknown last name) is at right in light blue. According to Charpentier, the queen and two princesses represented the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Lewiston for an entire year, participating in various parades around Idaho.
