Ralph Nichols holds his grand champion 4-H steer at the Nez Perce County Fair in Lewiston in this photo published in the Sept. 23, 1961, Lewiston Tribune. Nichols was a member of the Tammany Livestock Club. Attendees at that year’s fair included Idaho Sen.
