The new River Arts community arts center brings an art walk to Kamiah’s BBQ Days this weekend.
Artists from the Central Idaho Art Association will have solo presentations at venues along Main Street from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, according to a River Arts news release, while local young artists’ work will be featured at Sassy-Squatch Ice Cream and Deli, Speakeasy Coffee and the Kamiah Hotel Bar & SteakHouse.
River Arts also will be celebrating the grand opening of its studio and gallery at 411 Main St. with a show by Kamiah-area artists Lee Hamilton and Barbara Leonard Malmstrom as well as paintings by Beth A. Rimmelspacher, of Clarkston, and Amanda Azous of Friday Harbor, Wash.

A barn dance with the Senders is set for 7-10 p.m. Friday at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn, 419 N. Park Way, Uniontown.
The Senders — Jon Anderson, keyboard and vocals; Hal Logan, drums and vocals; Jim Roberts, guitar and vocals; Mark Snodgrass, bass, upright bass and vocals; and Terry Evans, audio engineer — specialize in 1950s and ’60s popular music that combines their love of surf music, The Beatles and classic rock. The group has been playing community events, dances, concerts and weddings for more than 25 years, according to an Artisan Barn news release.
Tickets are $10 at the door starting at 6 p.m., with food, beer and wine available for purchase. The performance will be outdoors, weather permitting.

The 90th annual Lewiston Roundup gets underway at 6:59 p.m. Wednesday with XTreme Bulls and continues through next weekend with performances Sept. 5-7 at the Lewiston Roundup Grounds, 2100 Tammany Creek Road.
Family Day is Sept. 5, Tough Enough to Wear Pink night is Sept. 6 and the final performance is Sept. 7.

Fall line dancing lessons continue Wednesday at the Corner Villa, 2110 14th Ave., Lewiston.
Experienced dancers and first-timers alike are welcome to participate, as long as they’re 21 or older.
Classes are $5, and there are two times to choose from, with different music: 6 p.m., “Why Don’t We Just Dance” by Josh Turner and 7:30, “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter.
