One year after its debut, the Orofino Riverbank Music Festival is back - and this time, with a second stage.

Music begins in the afternoon, featuring three Northwest bands on Stage B in the grass at the city park behind the bleachers. Main stage performances begin at 6:30 p.m. with the Olson Bros. Band from Olympia and country music artist Craig Morgan on stage at 8.

Known for his high energy and wide range of interests, Morgan has released seven studio albums since 2000 and has hit the Billboard country charts 17 times. The avid hunter and motocross racer has also hosted eight seasons of "Craig Morgan's All Access Outdoors" on the Outdoor channel, showcasing his adventures. Morgan spoke with us via email about his work and play:

360: You've had a few lifetimes' worth of jobs and careers besides being a country musician - military service, emergency medical technician, security guard, construction worker and TV host. If all these things were no longer an option, what job might you be curious to try out?

Morgan: I would be an off-grid tour guide.

360: What could we safely bet would be a job you'll never have?

Morgan: Probably an office job of any kind. If you've seen my show, you know I can't sit still for any length of time.

360: It seems like you're good at everything. What's one thing you're not good at?

Morgan: Honestly, with the proper training, mindset and desire, I think a person can do anything.

360: What's some of the best, and worst, advice you received while pursuing your music career?

Morgan: The best advice would have to be, "Don't believe everything you read about yourself, good and bad." The worst advice I've received is, "Don't buy a bus."

360: You released your first album almost 20 years ago. What gets you up on that stage show after show?

Morgan: I love the music and the songs. I love knowing that standing there singing songs can impact people's lives and knowing that this is a way that I can have a positive impact on other people's lives.

360: Have any of your outdoor adventures taken you to our area?

Morgan: Ironically enough, I have performed in Idaho before but it's one of the few states where I haven't hunted. Knowing that it is one of the great outdoor recreation areas in our country, when I'm in Idaho I like to be outdoors biking and hiking.

360: What makes for a good hunt?

Morgan: My ideal hunt is one that is spent with friends and/or family. It's not about what I'm hunting as much as it is about who I am hunting with.

360: You're involved with a lot of philanthropic work. What drives that work, and what are some of the organizations that you're most passionate about supporting right now?

Morgan: I believe it is a shared gene to want to help others. It's in our human nature, and it's a God thing. There is much happiness to be gained when doing something for others. Some organizations I am passionate about are Folds of Honor, Operation Finally Home and children's services.

360: You've taken up woodworking in the last couple years and have started a business based on that work. Tell us about that.

Morgan: Woodworking is something I have done for a long time. I first started as a kid working for my dad and his shop. I really enjoy making handmade bowls and spoons. Taking a piece of wood and turning it into something usable still fascinates me. I found working with wood very calming. As most people know, I am high-energy, always moving, always thinking. When I'm working with wood, I'm focused on the wood and it's very calming.
