Mary Katherine Dimke and Jerod Osborne Shelby, both of West Richland, Wash., were married Sept. 1 at the Clarkston home of Janice Dimke, the mother of the bride. The Rev. Ronald L. Shelby, youth pastor at Richland Baptist Church and brother of the bridegroom, officiated at the ceremony.

The bride graduated from Clarkston High School in 1996. She then received a B.A. in political science from Pepperdine University in 1999, and a J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 2002. She works as an Assistant United States Attorney and is the daughter of Janice Dimke and the late John Dimke.

The bridegroom graduated from Richland High School in 1986. He received his B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Washington in 1992. He is the CEO of SSC North America. He is the son of Ronald O. and Lorraine Shelby of Richland.

The matron of honor was Monica DeWitt of West Richland, the sister of the bride. Other bridesmaids included Molly Dimke of Asotin, sister-in-law of the bride; Courtney Frisbee of Pasco, daughter of the bridegroom; Alex and Charlie Dimke of Asotin, nieces of the bride; and Rylee and Sydney DeWitt of West Richland, nieces of the bride.

The best man was Aaron DeWitt, of West Richland, a friend of the groom. Other groomsmen were Steve McNutt of Kennewick, friend of the groom, and Colton and Cooper Shelby, of West Richland, sons of the bridegroom.

The flower girl and ring bearer were Elie Frisbee and Carter Frisbee, respectively, the grandchildren of the bridegroom. The bride was escorted by her brother, Mitch Dimke of Asotin.

The couple honeymooned at Lake Roosevelt, Wash. They are making their home in West Richland.
