Good Sam Club, Seaport Sams Chapter
Members held their regular meeting June 12 during the Idaho Good Sam State Samboree held the week of June 9-16 at the Nez Perce County Fairgrounds in Lewiston.
There were more than 70 recreational vehicles from around the state at the event. There were 14 Seaport Sam members present at the chapter meeting, and June anniversaries were observed for Les and Sue Peer, and Willy and Jeanette Cuddy, while Glen Matteson’s birthday was noted.
Scott Billing, chapter wagon master, reviewed possible sites for 2020 and 2021 with the members. A variety of sites were mentioned, though sites for the two state rallies are not yet set for 2020. The chapter hopes to plan a combined campout with the Silver Valley group in the future.
The Idaho Good Sam association has decided to sell one of their enclosed cargo trailers, and members will have the first option to buy.
Members discussed the value of a Passport America membership since several sites offer the discount.
The chapter’s next campout is July 15-19 at the Huckleberry Campground on the St. Joe River. The theme is “Christmas in July” with a Christmas covered-dish meal and white elephant gift exchange.
