OCTOBER 18, 1924 — Harold “Red” Grange accounted for six touchdowns in Illinois’ 39-14 win against Michigan. Grange returned the opening kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown. He followed with touchdown runs of 66, 55 and 40 yards in the first 12 minutes of the game. Grange later threw for another touchdown and returned another kick for a score.
