With 206 yards, Arkansas State's Danny Smith became the seventh running back to rush for more than 100 yards against the Vandals this season.
A series after picking off Idaho quarterback Michael Harrington to set up a field goal, the Indians come up with another interception, this time by Chuck Allen. Two plays later, Arkansas State goes up 24-3 on a 2-yard run by Danny Smith.
After throwing another interception, Harrington remains at quarterback. But on first-and-10 his pass bounces off its intended target and lands in Allen's mitts once again. Arkansas State takes over at the Idaho 18 and scores shortly thereafter on a Smith run from 3 yards out to give the Indians a 31-3 cushion.
Leading 38-29, Arkansas State snuffs out any hopes of an Idaho comeback when Jon Bradley recovers a first-and-5 fumble by Idaho QB Adam Mallette. The Indians take over with 2:31 remaining, and run all but eight seconds off the game clock before turning the ball over on downs.
