Lewis-Clark State men’s basketball coach Austin Johnson has announced the signings of three more student-athletes for the Warriors, including Bob Boyd, Daylon Potts and Clarkston native Jake Albright.
Boyd was a two-year starter at Southwest Mississippi Community College, while Potts comes to L-C after a standout season at Gavilan College. Albright, a 6-6 junior, returns home to the L-C Valley after helping Walla Walla Community College to the 2019 NWAC Championship Game and 45 wins overall in two years.
WSU to play Nebraska in tournament
Washington State men’s basketball will face Nebraska to open the Cayman Islands Classic tournament on Nov. 25, the event moderators announced Wednesday.
The Cornhuskers finished just over .500 last season, and both Nebraska and Wazzu will be featuring new coaches in Fred Hoiberg and Kyle Smith, respectively.
The two schools also share administrative history — Nebraska athletic director Bill Moos was with the Pullman school from 2010-17. In 2017, he accepted a five-year deal to become the Huskers’ AD.
WSU will play either Old Dominion or George Mason later in the tournament.
