The congregations of Lewiston’s First United Methodist Church (UMC) and Clarkston’s UMC will join together on Father’s Day Sunday for a time of collaborative worship and fellowship. The gathering begins at 10 a.m. at 1906 Broadview Drive in First UMC’s outdoor event center, located on the eastern edge of the parking lot. Acoustic music will be led by Lisa Stauffer and include hymns “Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone),” “In Christ Alone” and “10,000 Reasons.” Pastor Cody Stauffer will deliver the message from Ephesians, Chapter 1, “All Together Now.” Following worship, fellowship begins with a free meal including grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, sides and strawberry angel food cake. Attendees are encouraged to bring a folding camp chair or lawn chair.
The ninth annual 14 Days of Praise featuring church-based live music continues Monday through June 23 at 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. each day, and all day June 22, at Brackenbury Square in downtown Lewiston.
CRAIGMONT — St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Craigmont will hold Vacation Bible School Monday through Friday. The Church is located at 520 Sixth St., the corner of Sixth and Villard. The VBS will be led by a team of camp counselors from Lutherhaven Outdoor Ministries near Coeur d’Alene. The theme for this year’s Bible School is “Adventure Awaits” and the Bible theme is Ephesians 5:1-2: “Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved Children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us…” Bible School will begin with check-in and gathering time at 9 a.m. and finish at 11:45 a.m. A snack will be served, and children should wear comfortable play clothes. Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church’s Roar Vacation Bible School is set for 9-11:45 a.m. Monday through Friday. All kids in fourth through sixth grades are welcome.
