A free community lunch that was scheduled for today at Orchards Nazarene Church in Lewiston has been canceled because of hazardous driving conditions. The monthly free lunches will resume in March.

A free community meal will be served from 4 to 5:30 p.m. today at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity, 731 Eighth St., Lewiston. The food pantry is open every Tuesday from 8:45 a.m. to noon.

POMEROY — Pataha Flour Mill will hold its “Pataha Valley Praise Gathering” at 7 tonight. The gathering will be led by Ted and Annie Cook, of Lewiston, and mill directors Jon and Louise Van Vogt. The event features favorite old-time gospel music presented by various singers and instrumentalists from the region.

A buffet dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m., by free will donation. Reservations are required and may be made by calling (509) 843-3799.

The Lewiston Knights of Columbus Council 1024 annual spaghetti dinner will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at All Saints Catholic Church, 3330 14th St., Lewiston.

Dinner includes homemade spaghetti sauce with hand-rolled meatballs, garlic bread, salad and dessert. The cost is by donation. More information is available at www.facebook.com/KofC1024.

A diabetes prevention seminar is set for 6:30 p.m. Monday and March 4 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2673 13th St., Clarkston.

The six-week educational program will offer ways to lose weight, prevent Type 2 diabetes, improve health and lower blood pressure. The program is based on the Grundy Reversing Diabetes Seminar by Stephen Wickham.

Food tasting, recipes, group support, lifestyle goal setting and educational resources will be provided. There is no cost to participate in the program, but donations are welcome.
