A free community meal will be served from 4 to 5:30 p.m. today at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity, 731 Eighth St., Lewiston. The church’s food pantry is open 8:45 a.m. to noon every Tuesday.

POMEROY — Pataha Flour Mill, near Pomeroy, will have its Pataha Valley Praise Gathering at 7 p.m. today. The event will be directed by Ted and Annie Cook, country gospel musicians from Lewiston, and the Jon Van Vogt family, directors of the mill, will host. A buffet dinner will precede the event from 5 to 7 p.m., by freewill donation. Reservations are requested at (509) 843-3799.

The 9 a.m. Sunday service at Lewiston’s United Methodist Church will feature music by the nine-member bell choir, directed by Kris Haynal. They will play all the service music of prelude, offertory, postlude and accompany the hymns. Two of the special pieces are by Handel. Another titled “Jesus, Fill Us With Your Love” is a Ghanaian folk song. A coffee hour will follow the Rev. Cody Stauffer’s message from the Book of Acts. The church is at 1906 Broadview Drive.
