Nancy Marie Fey went home to be with her Lord and savior on Friday, May 31, 2019, after a yearlong bout with cancer.
Nancy was born Aug. 6, 1948, to Rex and Alice Taber. She lived in or around Juliaetta all her life. She and Bill were married in November of 1966. After high school, she worked at the Credit Adjustment Agency in Lewiston. She took a two-year course in business management.
During this time, two children were born to Bill and Nancy, Eric Fey and Kelly Surber. As the children were growing up, she worked part time. She worked for a year or two at the Kendrick School District and for a short time as a clerk for the city of Juliaetta, finally spending the remaining time in different financial institutions.
Nancy’s hobbies consisted of camping, riding four-wheelers, going to yard sales, embroidering, bicycling and reading. For 35 years the family would camp at Ore Grand and ride motorcycles, four-wheelers and, later on, side-by-sides to Wildhorse Lake and the Buffalo Hump Area.
Nancy had two granddaughters who occupied much of her time when they were together, Zoey Alice, who is 8, and Abbey Nicole, who is 5. Nancy and Bill also spent the last six years raising their great-niece, Justice.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Alice Taber; her in-laws, Bud and Connie Fey; her sister Vivian Ferguson; and her grandson Baby Surber.
The family would like to thank the nurses on the second floor west at Gritman Medical Center and a special thank you to Jolene. We would also like to thank Elite Hospice Services and our family at the Juliaetta Community Church.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Juliaetta Community Church.
