Donavon “Bud” I. Palmer passed away Monday, May 20, 2019, at Prestige Care and Rehabilitation in Clarkston.

He was born April 28, 1929, in North Dakota to John and Marion (Frye) Palmer.

He worked as a coal miner in North Dakota, and after moving to Asotin, he married EllaBelle M. Lang on July 25, 1949, at the Lutheran Church in Lewiston.

He then found work in multiple careers in Asotin, including as a telephone lineman, construction worker, bus driver, carpenter and building different things out of wood.

Dad always spoke in his “Donald Duck” voice whenever he was trying to make someone laugh. When he left us, we lost our comedian and our B.S.er, grandpa and dad. He loved camping, fishing, hunting and his family, grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Bud is survived by his sister, Star Brahs; daughters Marie Palmer and Leanne (Jim) Osburn; grandsons Bill Jenkins, Joey Jenkins and John Palmer; granddaughters Sheena Palmer, Jessie Guin, Page (Adam) Villavicencio, Christina Osburn, Veronica Grieve and Oceana Villavicencio; and numerous friends and relatives.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife EllaBelle; three brothers; one sister; sons Donnie and Craig Palmer; granddaughter Angie M. Grieve; and nephew Billie Greer.

A big thank you to Prestige Care for making Dad comfortable, and also to Denise.

His remains were cremated and a service will be announced at a later date.
