The Tri-State Memorial Hospital and medical campus in Clarkston was under lockdown for less than 20 minutes Tuesday morning.
Prior to the lockdown, a bystander suspected someone had a firearm in a parking lot and called Clarkston police, according to a news release issued by Tri-State. The alert was heard over the police scanner in the emergency department, and the hospital was placed under immediate lockdown at 9:35 a.m.
After an investigation, police determined there was no threat to the hospital. The lockdown was lifted at 9:50 a.m.
