Freda Fraser, 68, died Monday, March 25, 2002, at Coeur d'Alene.
She was born June 13, 1933, to Henry and Caroline Stiger at Deary. She grew up in Deary and graduated from Deary High School with the class of 1949.
In 1949, she married Robert Fraser at Lewiston. They made their home at Kendrick, where she was a homemaker. They moved in 1953 to Calder, Idaho, where she worked at the Calder General Store and the Big Eddy Restaurant. They moved to St. Maries, Idaho, in 1980.
She enjoyed oil painting and quilting.
Freda is survived by her husband at the family home; her daughter, Patricia Rollins of Hayden Lake, Idaho; son, Mitch Fraser of St. Maries; her brother, Jack Stiger of Oklahoma; and sisters, Amelia Snell of Kirkland, Wash., Loreen Newcomer of Sedro Woolley, Wash., Alvina Hine of Houston, Texas, and Eve Hine of Long Beach, Calif. She is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
At her request, there was no funeral. The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Benewah County.
Hode Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
