A Lewiston man lost control in a roundabout Tuesday night and hit a car and took out a pillar of a carport in the Lewiston Orchards.
Cody G. Miller, 33, was arrested for DUI and reckless driving after he left the roadway at the roundabout at the top of Thain Road at about 10:54 p.m. Miller hit an unoccupied 1996 Pontiac Grand Am and a carport at 3715 14th St., according to court records. A post and rain gutter were torn off the car port.
Miller told Lewiston police the throttle of his truck got stuck and he lost control. A witness reported Miller pulled away from the car port and crashed again south of Birch Avenue at 14th Street.
Miller was uninjured. A damage amount to the garage and parked car were unavailable. Miller was tested and allegedly had a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.10 and 0.12 in two samples, according to court records.
