The Asotin couple will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Sternwheel Ballroom of Clarkston’s Quality Inn.
Dean Reeves and Mary Hodges were married Oct. 7, 1968, in Reno, Nev.
The couple made their home in Asotin County where he farmed and ranched. She worked for 36 years as an elementary school teacher, mainly for the Asotin-Anatone School District, and retired in 2012.
Together they enjoy traveling, and have been to all 50 states and several foreign countries. Other hobbies include raising livestock, and following Washington State University athletics and their granddaughters’ activities.
Mary is a member of the Asotin-Anatone Education Foundation, and Dean is a Scottish Rite Mason and Calam Shriner.
They have one son, Clint Reeves; one daughter, Melissa (Jason) Sadlowski; and three granddaughters. Their son, daughter and son-in-law will be hosts for the celebration.
The hotel is at 700 Port Drive, and the couple request no gifts.
