An integrated pest management program for individuals seeking Washington, Idaho and Oregon pesticide re-certification credits will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon Dec. 14 at the Clarkston Campus of Walla Walla Community College.
The program is free, but participants are asked to preregister with the WSU Garfield County Extension Office by calling (509) 843-3701 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The course will have talks on biological control of noxious weeds by Paul Brusven, coordinator of the Nez Perce bio-control center. Doug Finkelnburg of the University of Idaho Nez Perce County extension educator will discuss identification and control of poison hemlock. A presentation on identifying and controlling Italian rye grass will be given by Drew Lyon WSU research and extension weed scientist.
