Linda LaVonn Tuning Young, 57, passed into the arms of her Lord and savior Jesus Christ and her beloved husband, Don, on March 18, 2017, surrounded by family.

Linda was born March 15, 1960, to David and Phyllis Tuning at Fort George G. Meade, Md. She married Ken Tuning on June 30, 1993. They were later divorced. She married Donald Young on March 18, 2000, at Clarkston. Her remains will be taken to Parsons, Kan., to be buried with her husband.

Linda attended schools at Boise, Glenns Ferry and Greenleaf in Idaho, and Clarksville, Tenn. She majored in criminal justice at Linn-Benton Community College at Corvallis, Ore., and earned an associate degree from Lewis-Clark State College. She enjoyed reading and reviewed books for several companies.

Linda is survived by her father, David and Linda Tuning of Medford, Ore.; mother Phyllis Tuning of Lewiston; sisters Elisa (and Philip) Rodgers of Denver, Colo., and Sandra Tuning of Lewiston; daughters Tina and Marcello Cardoso of Salt Lake City and Melinda Rustemeyer of Lewiston; son David (and Kristi) Shorb of Lewiston; and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jayme Tuning.

Linda and Don were affiliated with Tammany View Baptist Church and Trinity Lutheran Church, both of Lewiston, while they were residents of Clarkston.
