Faye passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, of age-related causes, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston. She was born Dec. 4, 1913, at Texas Ridge, near Kendrick, to Frank Abrams and Millie Garner Abrams York. Faye attended the Gold Hill School through the eighth grade when the family moved to Kendrick.
She met and married Walter (Wally) Brocke and was a homemaker until his death in 1971. Wally and Faye had one daughter, Patricia.
Faye worked part time at Abrams' Hardware in Kendrick and Orofino from 1971 to 1976. Faye then married Floyd Stephens and moved to Lewiston.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, crocheting and was a talented seamstress. Faye stayed active and lived in her own home up until a month before her death.
Faye was preceded in death by her two husbands; daughter, Patricia Parks Grim; her brothers and sisters, Harold Abrams, Frank Abrams, Ethel Wagner, and Verla Crocker Nelson.
She is survived by her four grandchildren, Donald Parks and wife Ann, Nancy Phillips and husband Bill, Bob Parks and wife Karen, and Joanne Gertje and husband Rick; 11 great-grandchildren, Rachel Keane, Seth Parks, Silas Parks, Andrea Phillips, Stefanie Phillips, Pamela Phillips, Sara Trutter, Kristi Parks, Julia Gertje, Beth Gertje and Mary Gertje; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Jessica Clemenhagen, Kim Silflow and Lyndsey Silflow; and one stepgreat-grandchild, Lane Clemenhagen.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at American Ridge Cemetery in Kendrick. The Rev. Karl Kunder of Cameron Lutheran Church in Kendrick will officiate.
