Alleged drug runner takes a run

Ten miles and 19 hours later, Pennsylvania man is in custody

A day after allegedly leaving a suitcase full of marijuana in the trunk of his car and fleeing from police on foot, a Pennsylvania man was in the Nez Perce County Jail.

Paul A. Pitonyak, 23, of Erie, was arrested Thursday in Orofino by Clearwater County sheriff's deputies, more than 10 miles from where he was last seen by an Idaho State Police trooper near Peck.
