Bid for library shelving is nearly shelved

After learning bidding process would have to begin again, Lewiston Cty Council votes to pay asking price

A bid for specialized shelving for the new Lewiston City Library was almost sidelined Monday night because comparison bids couldn't be produced by the library director.

Some Lewiston city councilors struggled trying to understand how the piggy-back procedure works where a low bid is obtained for a specific product and numerous public entities can take advantage of that price.
