The Sears logo is on the Snake River Avenue building that will house the new Lewiston store, but the business isn't expected to open until Dec. 21.
That schedule comes from Mike Browne, an owner, who said construction delays have prompted more than one change in the date.
He estimates he's lost thousands in sales by missing a big chunk of the holiday, gift-buying season. Dozens of people have been stopping by wanting to shop, Browne said.
The shelves will have about three-quarters of a million dollars in merchandise on opening day, Browne said.
